Artie Heart
Artie is one of the hardest workers in the whole village. He works every day of every week of every year, and never gets a vacation. Artie has some of the most important jobs in Body. He makes sure that every single resident in Body gets everything they need to do their job properly. He delivers nutrients and oxygen to every resident. By doing this job he provides every villager with the fuel and the unique nutrients they require to do the best job possible. He also removes all of the waste that is created by his friends when they are working. When villagers use oxygen to give them energy they create carbon dioxide, which is poisonous. Artie collects all the carbon dioxide that his friends make and delivers it to Larry and Rosie Lung, who send it out of the Village.
Lyle Liver
Lyle Liver does many jobs in Body, and he takes every one of them very serious. His main job in body is separating out the toxins in the food, drinks, and any other substances that are brought in to Body. By doing this he protects the residents of the Village from receiving poisons that could harm them. Without Lyle the Village would be unprotected from the many toxins that Body is exposed to everyday. These toxins would attack the residents and leave them unable to do their jobs. Lyle does have many other jobs which will be discussed in future books.
Steven Stomach
Steven is real happy that you stopped by. He would like to say to everyone, "Good to see ya. Don't be a stranger." Steven's main job in Body is to break down the food that Raymond Brain collects and brings in to the Village. By breaking the food down Steven makes it possible for the nutrients to be separated out so they can be delivered to all of the villagers. These nutrients provide the residents with everything they need to do their jobs properly. Without Steven the Village would not be able to get the nutrients out of the food that is brought in.
Larry and Rosie Lung
Larry and Rosie Lung are twin brother and sister. The two of them work together in Body. Their job is to bring oxygen into the village to give energy to all of its residents. They are also responsible for getting rid of the carbon dioxide that is created by their friends when they use the oxygen. The carbon dioxide is poisonous to the village. Without Larry and Rosie the village would not have the fuel it needs to function, and would also be exposed to the toxic carbon dioxide.
Kerry Kidney
Kerry works in Body with her twin sister Kelly. Together they perform many important jobs. The most important job they do is to filter out the liquid waste that is created in the Village. They then take the waste that is filtered and send it to Betty Bladder to store until it is ready to be shipped out. Without the Kidney twins the liquid waste would build up in the village. Eventually the village would shut down from all of the poisonous waste.
Betty Bladder
Betty Bladder would like to welcome everyone, and say, "I love living in the Body Village. I hope you will come back and visit often." Betty's job in Body is to take the liquid waste that is filtered out by Kerry and Kelly Kidney, and store it until it is ready to be shipped out.
Raymond Brain
Raymond Brain works in the village's control center. Here he performs many important jobs. Some of these jobs include identifying and collecting food to be brought in to Body, storing memories for learning, controlling the senses, producing ideas, and many other very important jobs. Raymond would like to take a moment from his busy schedule to say, "Stop by the Body Village often to learn about your body and what is happening inside this amazing village!"
