Our Village Voice

Justin Noble is the author and creator of the "Body Village" series. He was born in Lewisville, TX on June 17, 1978. At the age of four he and his family moved to San Antonio, TX. Two years later they relocated to the quaint town of Boerne, TX, located roughly 15 miles North of San Antonio, in the Texas hill country. There he grew up participating in the local youth sports programs, and was fortunate to receive an exceptional education from the talented faculty of the Boerne Independent School District.

After graduating high school Mr. Noble continued his education at Texas Christian University. There he earned a BBA in Finance. On June 5, 2000, five days after fullfilling the Universities required curriculum for his degree, he moved to New York City. In New York he worked several jobs, met many extraordinary people, and took in as much of the amazing culture the great city had to offer that he could.

In the summer of 2004 he walked into the vitamin section of his local pharmacy and was struck with an idea. If you replace the second i in vitamin with an e you get vitamen. He thought to himself, "what if vitamins were put to life?" With that inspiration he came up with the idea for an educational TV show where the Vita-Men would interact with human organs to teach children how their bodies work. Not sure how to go about pitching a television show, he asked his sister for advice. At the time his sister had two young boys. She told him that several of the programs her boys watched began as books and maybe he should put his idea in book format.

Justin liked the idea and in the Fall of 2005 he wrote Artie's Party: Featuring the Vita-Men. He then submitted his story to numerous publishers and literary agents, who all declined. Feeling defeated, he abandoned the project and went about his normal everyday life. Then in February of 2008 he decided that if no publishers would work with him he would publish the book himself. He found an illustrator and a self publishing company that offered what he was looking for, and in September of 2008 the book was published.

Justin Noble still resides in New York City where he works at a comedy club. He thanks you for your interest in "The Body Village" and hopes you enjoy his creation.
